Livros para ensinar bem filosofia

Luís Rodrigues

Um dos principais obstáculos à qualidade do ensino e aprendizagem da filosofia é a escassez de material didacticamente adequado a esse objectivo. Embora o panorama seja muito melhor do que há quinze anos, as lacunas ainda são significativas porque pouco se publica e se traduz com a preocupação de servir alunos e professores de filosofia — refiro-me sobretudo ao ensino da filosofia no secundário. E,contudo, para quem tem um domínio razoável da língua inglesa e alguma disponibilidade financeira, o problema reside na escolha. Nas livrarias online encontra-se uma quantidade apreciável de material cuja qualidade pode entusiasmar os menos propensos a tal sentimento.

A finalidade essencial deste trabalho é a de dar a conhecer o que de mais relevante para um bom ensino e aprendizagem da filosofia está ao dispor dos colegas em língua inglesa. Procurarei também apresentar material bibliográfico útil publicado noutras línguas. Para o que está acessível em língua portuguesa remeto para a secção Ensino da Filosofia da Crítica, em especial para "Leituras para Leccionar o 10.° e 11.° ano" (Desidério Murcho) e "Textos de Apoio para o 10.° ano" (Álvaro Nunes).

Abster-me-ei de comentários sobre cada um dos materiais apresentados. A sua recensão poderá ser encontrada seguindo as hiperligações que os acompanham. Dividirei a exposição em várias secções. A secção inicial será dedicada a introduções gerais à filosofia e a noções básicas de argumentação. As secções seguintes, mais específicas, corresponderão a diversas áreas da filosofia relevantes para o ensino da disciplina no secundário.
